Growing up in Burbank, California, Shoni always had pets. She found several stray cats, dogs, and even turtles! Her childhood dog Heidi inspired her to work with animals as a career, and now she cares for our four-legged friends as the Head Receptionist at Rainbow Veterinary Hospital.
Shoni started her veterinary career by working at animal clinics in the 80s. She has been working at Rainbow Veterinary Hospital for 13 years, and with Dr. Metzger for the (nearly 5) years that he has owned the practice! She loves working with the team and has gotten to know all the clients and their pets by name.
As a kid, Shoni had Heidi and Coco, a terrier mix. Now she owns an adopted black cat named Kohl. Shoni’s brother and his family have two cats and a beagle.
Outside of work, Shoni enjoys freestyle and hip-hop dancing and even competed for many years, winning several trophies. She also enjoys road trips to Las Vegas!
