Certified Veterinary Assistant
When Evie’s sister’s adopted puppy was diagnosed with parvovirus, one of the technicians at Evie’s local animal hospital took her around the facility and showed her the surgery room. Caring for the puppy and seeing the medical facilities inspired Evie to become a Veterinary Assistant!
Evie began her animal care career working at a vaccine clinic along with a job in retail. After becoming a Certified Animal Behavior College Veterinary Assistant, she knew this was the ultimate career path for her. Now she loves her job at Rainbow Veterinary Hospital, where she gets to interact with clients and their pets and hear wonderful stories about each one.
Currently, Evie has six pets of her own: a cockatiel named Gordo; Allie the rabbit; Keebler and Luna, the dogs; a Beta named Argonite; and a guinea pig who walks on a leash and gives kisses on command!
Since she was three years old, Evie has played softball. She played in college and is especially proud of receiving the “most inspirational” award, which she was voted for unanimously by her teammates and coaches. She also enjoys training dogs and is currently working on becoming a certified trainer!
